Pay: $85,000–$100,000 annually (DOE)

Job Summary:
The Network Engineer is responsible for maintaining the reliability, security, and performance of enterprise network infrastructure across multiple locations. This role focuses on hands-on configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of Cisco-based networking environments. The ideal candidate has strong experience supporting large-scale enterprise networks and the ability to apply advanced technical knowledge to ensure systems remain secure, scalable, and aligned with business needs. This position plays a critical role in supporting daily operations and long-term technology strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Apply and maintain standard operating procedures for network performance, security, and compliance
• Configure, support, and troubleshoot Cisco enterprise networking technologies including switching, routing, firewalls, wireless, and load balancing
• Monitor network systems to meet service-level agreements and operational requirements
• Support LAN and WAN infrastructure across multiple facilities
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and network optimization
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to strengthen network security and reduce risk
• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, changes, and network standards
• Track and report key performance indicators related to network health and reliability
• Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies to improve performance and scalability
• Provide support for a 24x7x365 enterprise production environment as needed
• Assist with after-hours maintenance and occasional travel when required
Qualifications:
• Technical college degree, bachelor’s degree in networking or related field, or equivalent experience
• Up to 5 years of hands-on experience supporting Cisco enterprise networking environments
• Experience supporting networks with 300+ devices including switches, routers, and wireless access points
• Strong experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems
• Working knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, DMVPN, and QoS
• Familiarity with Cisco IOS-XE, WLC, FMC, ASDM, and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and Wireshark
• Exposure to WAN technologies, SD-WAN, DHCP/DNS, and load balancing solutions
• CCNA or CCNP certification preferred
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
• Willingness to support off-hours work and limited travel as needed
Working Conditions:
This position operates in an office and data center environment with regular interaction with networking hardware. The role requires sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods, as well as hands-on installation and configuration of equipment. Occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds may be required. The work environment is professional, technology-driven, and collaborative.
