Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Punch Press Setup Operator to support metal stamping production in a high-precision manufacturing environment. In this role, you will perform complete press setups, adjust tooling, and ensure machines run safely and efficiently to produce quality components. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, knowledgeable in stamping operations, and confident in troubleshooting press and tooling issues while maintaining strict quality standards.

In this role, you will perform complete press setups, adjust tooling, and ensure machines run safely and efficiently to produce quality components. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, knowledgeable in stamping operations, and confident in troubleshooting press and tooling issues while maintaining strict quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret job orders, blueprints, and work instructions to determine correct setup requirements
• Install, align, and secure tooling, dies, punches, and fixtures on punch presses
• Perform test runs, adjust settings, and verify part accuracy to meet required tolerances
• Monitor machine performance, including feed systems, stroke, and scrap rate
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and minor tooling or press repairs
• Troubleshoot issues such as misfeeds, burrs, jams, or dimensional inconsistencies
• Work with quality personnel to inspect parts and maintain SPC or inspection records
• Record setup information, tooling changes, and production data accurately
• Follow all lockout/tagout procedures and adhere to safety and housekeeping standards
• Collaborate with engineering and toolroom teams to support tooling and process improvements

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts
• Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Comfortable working four 10-hour shifts weekly

Working Conditions:
Work takes place in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, moving parts, and moderate noise. Regular standing, bending, lifting, and handling of tooling are required. Proper PPE must be worn at all times in accordance with safety policies.
