Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled HR Generalist for a temporary assignment lasting approximately 6–8 months, beginning in early January and ending around late July or early August. This role supports all facets of human resources, with a strong focus on recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, personable, and proactive in managing multiple HR functions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for direct hire and agency-sourced candidates.
- Post new positions via RPO, SharePoint, and company website.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates and hiring managers.
- Partner with staffing agencies on recruitment needs and candidate updates.
- Extend job offers and coordinate pre-employment drug screens.
- Participate in job fairs and assist with event preparation.
- Conduct new hire orientations and ensure accurate system entries (e.g., Social Security, Teladoc, Alert).
Benefits Administration
- Conduct benefits overview meetings with new hires (monthly or as needed).
- Enroll and update employee benefits in Medica, Delta Dental, and internal payroll systems.
- Manage qualifying life events and related benefits changes.
- Support open enrollment (July 1) and ensure timely communication with employees.
- Process 401(k) enrollments and updates monthly.
Employee Support & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and files.
- Conduct exit interviews and process terminations across all systems.
- Assist with workers’ compensation claims and leave of absence administration (STD, FMLA, etc.).
- Respond promptly to internal and external HR inquiries via email.
- Support HR documentation, filing, and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of HR generalist or HR coordinator experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes, benefits, and recruiting best practices.
- Proficient with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and online recruiting platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.

- Flexible full-time schedule (choice of 5x8s or 4x9s with half-day Fridays).
