Job Description

Job Title: Low Voltage Estimator
Status: Full Time (Direct Hire – Exempt)
Work Type: In Person (Hybrid schedule options available)
Pay: $75,000 – $95,000 annually (DOE)
Shift: Monday–Friday | 7:00am–4:00pm
Location: Rogers, MN

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Low Voltage Estimator to support multifamily and commercial projects involving structured cabling, access control, voice/data, video surveillance, fire alarm systems, and other low-voltage technologies. This role plays a critical part in producing accurate, competitive bids and supporting project success from design through execution. The ideal candidate will bring strong estimating experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Review drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine project scope.
Perform takeoffs and prepare detailed estimates and proposals.
Participate in jobsite walkthroughs to gather information for accurate estimating.
Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing.
Work with internal project management teams to align budgets and timelines.
Research and build relationships with potential clients to expand opportunities.
Partner closely with project managers to ensure client satisfaction.

Requirements

3–5 years of experience estimating low-voltage systems (structured cabling, access control, surveillance, fire alarm, voice/data, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret construction documents and generate accurate proposals.
Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with clients.
Familiarity with OST, EBM, or other estimating tools is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
Occasional jobsite visits requiring walking, standing, or climbing.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
