Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Advocate to support families accessing community resources and social service programs. In this role, you’ll assess individual and family needs, connect clients with vital services, and help them develop action plans toward self-sufficiency. The ideal candidate will have a background in human services, strong communication skills, and a passion for making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

• Conduct intake assessments for families visiting the food shelf or accessing community programs
• Provide information on available services, including food, housing, financial, and employment assistance
• Develop individualized service plans to support family goals and long-term stability
• Lead and coordinate programs such as Peaceful Dreams, partnering with community organizations
• Advocate for families with outside agencies to ensure access to essential resources
• Assist with front desk intake and ensure a welcoming, organized client experience
• Maintain strong relationships with local service providers for effective referrals
• Document all case activity, client progress, and services provided accurately and confidentially
• Conduct follow-ups to monitor progress and provide continued support
• Participate in outreach initiatives to promote available programs and strengthen community partnerships

• Experience in case management, advocacy, or social services required
• Knowledge of community-based support systems and social service resources
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage diverse populations
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with strong follow-through
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and data entry systems
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field preferred
• Experience in case management, advocacy, or social services required

Working Conditions:
This position involves working in an office and community-based environment. Regular standing, sitting, walking, and communication across phone and in-person channels are required. Occasional lifting up to 10 lbs may occur. The role requires compassion, flexibility, and professionalism while engaging with individuals and families experiencing various life challenges.
