Anodize Department Team Lead
Status: Full Time
Work Type: In person

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Anodize Department Team Lead to help supervise second shift production employees. The Team Lead will play a hands-on role in supporting production flow, training team members, answering day-to-day questions, and helping to ensure safety, quality, and customer satisfaction goals are met. This leadership opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about guiding and growing production teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet or exceed organizational goals for safety, quality, and customer service
  • Lead, develop, and coach employees on the production floor
  • Train team members on part techniques and processes to achieve quality and production goals
  • Conduct performance discussions and recognize strong performance
  • Keep employees productive throughout the day and manage downtime effectively
  • Perform hourly check-ins with team members to monitor progress and accuracy
  • Conduct safety walks and address any identified hazards
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure the production area is neat and tour-ready
  • Ensure employees are current on all required trainings
  • Build and stage work loads to maintain continuous production
  • Validate correct job setups and adherence to process card instructions
  • Complete quality checks and sign-off on completed jobs
  • Ensure employees understand and meet production rate expectations
  • Visually inspect finished parts for quality compliance
  • Review and correct process card errors as needed
  • Occasionally meet with customers to address needs or resolve concerns
  • Operate a forklift to move production materials as needed
  • Use computers daily to print paperwork, labels, and access necessary information
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • U.S. Citizen or valid Green Card holder (required)
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills required
  • General knowledge of anodize terminology preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
  • General computer skills and ability to work with basic programs
  • Strong basic math skills
  • Ability to read and understand processes, procedures, and instructions
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain a professional environment
  • Dependable, punctual, and flexible to work overtime as needed
Working Conditions:
  • Primarily located on the production floor
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, occasional chemical risk, extreme heat, and moderate noise levels
  • Frequent standing, sitting, walking, stooping, and bending throughout the shift
  • Occasional exposure to odors associated with production processes
Physical Requirements:
  • Lift up to 20 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Fine dexterity and precision use of hand tools
  • Ability to work 8-hour shifts involving physical activity and mobility
Personal Protective Equipment Required:
  • Eye protection
  • Steel toe or composite toe shoes
  • Ear protection (as job-specific)
  • Gloves (as job-specific)
  • Face shield or face mask
  • Other PPE as required
