CROSS Services is seeking an interim Business Manager as we seek to find the best candidate for our team long term. Incorporated in 1977 as a collaborative community effort to provide food and clothing to low-income families, CROSS Services is a non-profit 501(c)(3) social services organization assisting local families and individuals in need, with an emphasis on ending food insecurity through access to healthy food while also providing several financial and children's programs. We serve Rogers, Maple Grove, Osseo, Corcoran, Dayton, and Champlin, and we also have special outreach programs in Albertville and St. Michael. CROSS Services is supported by community donations and volunteerism, and our organization is governed by a volunteer board of directors.
Job Summary
The Business Manager will play a crucial role in the financial management of CROSS. This individual will be responsible for overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of financial activities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in financial management, attention to detail, and a passion for making a positive impact in the community.
 
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable:
  1. Manage and process vendor invoices in a timely manner.
  2. Verify accuracy of invoices, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
  3. Maintain organized records of payables and coordinate with vendors as needed.
Accounts Receivable:
  1. Oversee the invoicing process for grants, donations, and other revenue streams.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate recording of incoming funds.
  3. Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
Payroll:
  1. Administer payroll processing accurately and on time.
  2. Stay informed about relevant tax regulations, benefits, and compliance requirements.
  3. Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Financial Reporting:
  1. Prepare regular financial reports and summaries for management.
  2. Assist in budget preparation and monitor financial performance against budgetary goals.
  3. Collaborate with leadership to analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
Compliance:
  1. Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and standards.
  2. Work closely with external auditors during annual audits.
Team Collaboration:
  1. Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.
  2. Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
