Our client is an Original Equipment Manufacturer of medical products that are implanted into the human blood stream. We are seeking an experienced Extrusion Operator to assist our client on a Temp-to-Hire basis.

Manages the daily extrusion activities, extrusion personnel and order demands. Ensures compliance with safety, quality, and housekeeping standards. The Position/Requirements: 
  1. Place discrete components together per customer specifications
  2. Maintain knowledge of extrusion processes and equipment
  3. Report any process and equipment problems to appropriate personnel
  4. Ensure that established policies, rules and regulations, and procedures are followed.
  5. Meet production quality and quantity standards in the extrusion department
  6. Analyze, develop and report any strategies on quality and quantity improvements.
  7. Work in conjunction with QA to develop and perform in-line inspections and complete extrusion results.
  8. Identifying problems to provide alternate courses of action.
  9. Trouble-shoot equipment and extrusion results
  10. Receive materials at the dock (assisting in shipping functions)

  1. Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs. routinely and 50 lbs. occasionally
  2. Individual will use hot gloves and occasionally a respirator all safety equipment provided.
  3. Understanding and experience in extruding plastic polymers, processing parameters and techniques.
  4. High school diploma or equivalent
  5. Medical device manufacturing experience preferred
  6. Basic math and reading proficiency
  7. Able to follow written procedures and instructions
  8. Able to work independently with minimum supervision
