Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Maintenance Mechanic to support the operations of a Fortune 100 company that manufactures road paving and construction equipment. This role is vital for ensuring the upkeep and performance of production equipment, building systems, and facility grounds. Ideal candidates will have either a 2-year degree or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and the flexibility to work various shifts.
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Maintenance Mechanic to support the operations of a Fortune 100 company that manufactures road paving and construction equipment. This role is vital for ensuring the upkeep and performance of production equipment, building systems, and facility grounds. Ideal candidates will have either a 2-year degree or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and the flexibility to work various shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prioritize safety at all times with the goal of preventing injuries, illnesses, and incidents.
• Perform breakdown maintenance on production equipment including hoists, cranes, paint booths, welders, and metalworking machines.
• Maintain and repair building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and ventilation.
• Execute simple to complex preventative maintenance on building and production equipment.
• Coordinate and prioritize tasks to align with production schedules.
• Use an electronic maintenance system to confirm and document work orders daily.
• Report, communicate, and correct maintenance issues identified during repairs and PMs.
• Operate a variety of equipment including forklifts, man lifts, snow plow trucks, etc.
• Assist with facility maintenance tasks such as snow removal, welding, and plumbing.
• Collaborate effectively within a team and perform tasks independently.
• Adapt to varying shift schedules as needed to support operations.

• 2-year degree or 3+ years of experience in maintenance/mechanical repair.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and preventative maintenance for production and building systems.
• Experience operating hand tools, lathe, drill press, air tools, forklifts, and man-lifts.
• Ability to weld, perform pipe fitting, carpentry, and electrical repairs.
• Familiarity with crane equipment and ability to read hydraulic/electrical prints.
• Proficient in computer-based maintenance tracking systems.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• 2-year degree or 3+ years of experience in maintenance/mechanical repair.

• Climb on equipment, ladders, and work in tight and awkward spaces.
• Perform repetitive motions such as grasping, pulling, rotating, and fine motor skills.
• Use of maintenance hand tools and PPE including steel-toe/metatarsal gear, gloves, harnesses, grinding shields, etc.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods with minimal breaks.
• Operate various equipment including maintenance vehicles, forklifts, and man lifts.
• Tolerate noise levels of 85db+ and frequent exposure to temperature changes.
