Job Summary
The Production Operator plays a key role in supporting food ingredient processing operations within a semi-automated manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for dependable individuals who show up on time, stay focused, and take pride in doing the job right. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor semi-automated production equipment
- Perform repetitive material handling and heavy lifting as part of daily operations
- Monitor gauges and make processing adjustments as required
- Accurately complete paperwork and label containers
- Perform basic lab analysis and food testing procedures following established protocols
- Follow all food safety, quality, and operational procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
- Work collaboratively with other operators to meet production goals
Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read, and write basic English
- Basic arithmetic and math skills
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift
- Strong integrity and discipline to follow safety, quality, and operational procedures
- Forklift experience preferred (certification a plus)
- Knowledge of food quality and safety standards
- Ability to follow food testing procedures accurately
- Industrial, agricultural, manufacturing, or warehouse experience a plus
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment or tools a plus
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing environment that may be loud, dusty, odorous, warm, or cold
- Required use of PPE including hairnets, smocks, gloves, earplugs, and masks
- Regular exposure to food allergens such as wheat, dairy, and soy
- Physically active role requiring standing, lifting, and repetitive motion throughout the shift
