Job Summary:
The Production Line Lead is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing a semi-automated production line processing dry food materials. This position leads a small team of 1–4 employees while actively working on the line to ensure quality, productivity, and compliance with operational standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable leading in a fast-paced manufacturing environment that may include noise, dust, temperature changes, and odors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and support a team of 1–4 production employees
• Verify components, materials, and equipment are ready for each production order
• Coordinate with changeover technicians, material handlers, and operators to calibrate production lines
• Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications
• Assist with equipment assembly and disassembly during changeovers
• Train, mentor, and support new line employees and future leads
• Maintain consistent production pace to meet throughput and performance goals
• Communicate quality, setup, and filling specifications clearly to team members
• Identify challenges, recommend solutions, and report needs to leadership
• Balance time between leading and operating the line (70–90%), changeover assistance (10–20%), and additional duties as needed

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 2+ years of manufacturing or related experience
• Forklift certification with at least 1 year of hands-on experience
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Strong basic math and arithmetic skills
• Mechanical aptitude and experience working with production equipment
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift
• Proven leadership, mentoring, and training skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow and enforce safety and quality procedures
• Basic computer skills
• Minimum of 2+ years of manufacturing or related experience
• Forklift certification with at least 1 year of hands-on experience
