Job Summary
We are seeking a Laser Operator to join a growing manufacturing team. This role involves setting up and operating an industrial cutting laser to process laminated wood, steel, and plastic materials. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, comfortable learning computer systems, and detail oriented. On-the-job training will be provided.
We are seeking a Laser Operator to join a growing manufacturing team. This role involves setting up and operating an industrial cutting laser to process laminated wood, steel, and plastic materials. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, comfortable learning computer systems, and detail oriented. On-the-job training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate industrial cutting laser equipment.
- Load large laminated wood, steel, or plastic sheets into the machine.
- Follow specifications, drawings, and instructions to produce accurate parts.
- Use computer systems to control and monitor machine operations.
- Inspect parts using measuring tools and ensure quality standards are met.
- Troubleshoot machine or production issues as they arise.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude or prior machine operation experience.
- Strong math skills and logical thinking ability.
- Ability to read and use measuring tools (ruler, calipers, etc.).
- Comfortable using and learning computer systems.
- Attention to detail is critical—must produce accurate, consistent work.
- Reliable, motivated, and able to follow instructions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs safely.
- Frequent standing, bending, and walking throughout the shift.
- Manual dexterity to operate equipment and handle materials.
