Job Summary:
The Material Coordinator – Forklift Operator plays a critical role in supporting daily plant and warehouse operations. This position is responsible for pulling materials, supporting saw operations, managing inventory, and handling shipping and receiving functions. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment while operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Pull materials from inventory and prepare orders for shipment
• Retrieve materials for saw orders and deliver to the appropriate operators or locations
• Perform shipping and receiving duties in accordance with company procedures
• Operate forklifts, saws, and trucks as trained
• Assist drivers with load preparation and material staging
• Conduct accurate inventory counts of assigned materials
• Consolidate materials to maximize warehouse space and prepare for incoming stock
• Stock new materials and ensure proper placement and labeling
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety by keeping floors clear and materials organized
• Provide backup support to saw operators and drivers as needed

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 1 year of warehouse or plant experience
• Strong math skills, including the ability to read tape measures and micrometers
• Valid driver’s license required
• Forklift experience required
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
