Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Fab Finisher to support production operations by handling materials, finishing metal parts, and ensuring components are properly prepared for routing. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with opportunities to learn and grow while contributing to a global leader in heavy equipment manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
• Load and unload material from the burn table.
• Debur and grind all parts coming off the burn table.
• Mark parts with proper identification and revision numbers.
• Stock parts on appropriate skids for further processing.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
• Interact and communicate with support and production personnel.
• Coordinate tasks to meet challenging production schedules.
• Take ownership of material-related issues and resolve them to acceptable levels.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of experience; 2 years of metal finishing and material handling in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience using powered handling and finishing equipment such as grinders and sanders.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs frequently.
• Exposure to welding fumes, noise levels of 85db or greater, and changing temperatures.
• Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes, and hoists safely.
• Ability to work at multiple heights, including climbing equipment, ladders, and man lifts.
• Ability to kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work in tight or awkward positions.
• Stand for 8-hour shifts with minimal breaks.
• Repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling, and rotating motions required.
• Fine motor skills for detailed tasks.
• Regular use of hand tools, grinders, air tools, pliers, reamers, and more.
• Must use required PPE including hearing protection, safety glasses, and steel toe/metatarsal footwear.
