Shift: 1st shift; Monday-Thursday 6:30am-5:00pm
Location: Elk River, MN
Pay: $18-$20 Hourly
About Our Client:
Our client is a trusted millwork finishing company specializing in pre-finishing custom and stock millwork components, including windows, jambs, sashes, grilles, and more. Their Elk River facility focuses on craftsmanship, accuracy, and efficient production. They operate a supportive, hands-on environment where employees collaborate to deliver top-quality finished products for residential and commercial customers
Job Summary:
This role is ideal for an entry-level candidate who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and wants to grow with a company that values quality and attention to detail. The Wood Working Tech will assist in building custom window and decorative millwork products while operating woodworking equipment in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build custom window grilles and decorative window components
- Manufacturing millwork products such as windows, jambs, door lights, sashes, and window grills
- Independently operate saws, routers, and other woodworking equipment
- Accurately measure, cut, and assemble materials
- Prepare shipping documents and labels
- Crate, box, and ship finished products
- Train at either the Elk River or Plymouth location as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday
- Ability to lift 10 lbs. repetitively, 35 lbs. regularly, and up to 70 lbs. occasionally (assistance required for lifts over 50 lbs.)
- Ability to reach shelving and occasionally climb stairs
- Strong measuring and cutting accuracy with attention to detail
- Basic computer and moderate typing skills
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite
- Willingness to learn and work independently
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing and production environment
- Standing, lifting, and repetitive motion required
- Voluntary overtime available
