Job Summary:
The Toolmaker is at the heart of the operation—building, maintaining, and fine-tuning the tooling that keeps production moving. This is a hands-on, highly skilled role for someone who enjoys solving mechanical puzzles, working with precision, and seeing the direct impact of their work on production success. If you take pride in tight tolerances, clean fits, and tooling that runs flawlessly, this position offers variety, challenge, and strong earning potential in a true toolroom environment.

This is a hands-on, highly skilled role for someone who enjoys solving mechanical puzzles, working with precision, and seeing the direct impact of their work on production success. Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and CAD documentation to plan tooling builds and repairs
• Set up and operate manual and CNC toolroom equipment including mills, lathes, and grinders
• Assemble, fit, troubleshoot, and verify dies, fixtures, jigs, and gauges for accuracy and performance
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on stamping dies to minimize downtime
• Diagnose tooling issues and implement effective, long-term solutions
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support tooling and process improvements
• Modify tooling to accommodate design changes, process updates, or production enhancements
• Maintain detailed documentation for tooling builds, repairs, and modifications
• Ensure tooling meets all quality, safety, and performance requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused toolroom

• Completion of a Tool & Die apprenticeship, technical training program, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with compound blanks, semi-blanks, progressive dies, and secondary tooling
• Strong proficiency with manual and CNC toolroom equipment
• Solid understanding of die clearances, press setup, and material flow
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and tooling documentation
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to precision workmanship
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of tooling performance
