Status: Full Time (Temp to Hire)
Work Type: In Person
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Thursday | 6:00am–4:30pm
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Pay: $28.00–$34.00 per hour (DOE)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Quality Inspector to support elevated inspection functions within a fast-paced metal stamping environment. This role performs complex dimensional inspections, validates critical features, leads quality initiatives, and resolves escalated issues. The ideal candidate brings expert GD&T knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting continuous improvement efforts across the quality department.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform advanced dimensional inspections using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, vision and automated measurement systems)
• Lead in-process and final inspections to verify part conformance to prints, specifications, and customer requirements
• Conduct verification activities including First Article Inspection (FAI), capability studies, and validation of critical features
• Review, complete, and approve inspection reports, job packets, and non-conformance documentation (NCRs)
• Support corrective actions, root cause analysis, and the NCR/CAR workflow
• Work with engineering, production, and leadership to resolve quality concerns and improve processes
• Participate in internal audits and assist in maintaining inspection procedures and quality documentation
• Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to junior and intermediate inspectors
• Use independent judgment to interpret specifications, disposition product, and escalate issues appropriately
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in quality inspection or precision manufacturing
• Expert-level GD&T knowledge and blueprint reading skills
• Proficiency with measurement tools and automated/visual inspection systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Experience with internal audits, FAI, capability checks, or quality system maintenance (preferred)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• High School Diploma or GED
• Reliable attendance and professionalism
Working Conditions:
• Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and moderate noise
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 40 lbs
• Use of PPE as required
