Lead Mover
Status: Full-Time
Work Type: In Person
Shift: 1st Shift M-F 7:30am - 4:30pm (+ on call when hired perm)
Pay: $20-$22+ DOQ + bonuses
Description:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Lead Mover to join a personal property restoration team. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in helping others and want to be part of a mission-driven organization that serves families and homeowners during critical times such as fire, water, or mold damage. The Lead Mover is responsible for leading a small team in packing, transporting, and returning clients’ personal belongings with care and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a crew in packing, moving, and delivering clients' personal items to and from the restoration facility
- Represent the company with professionalism and compassion while interacting with customers in distress
- Communicate clearly with customers, team members, and contractors on job expectations
- Handle fragile and sentimental items with a high degree of care and attention
- Operate company vehicle to transport belongings throughout the Twin Cities metro area
- Complete all documentation accurately and assist with tracking inventory
- Maintain a customer-first attitude and demonstrate a “whatever it takes” mindset
- Support team members in lifting, carrying, and loading/unloading items over 40 lbs (team-lift standard)
Requirements:
- Valid Minnesota driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Ability to lift and carry items over 40 lbs (team lift)
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, hands-on environments
- Willingness to be on-call as needed
- Professionalism, reliability, and compassion are a must
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 40+ lbs with assistance
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting, and loading/unloading
- Able to drive for extended periods throughout the workday
- Regular exposure to indoor/outdoor environments in varied weather conditions
