Job Summary
A fast-growing manufacturer of architectural metal products in Rogers, MN is seeking a reliable and experienced Shear Operator to join their production team. This role is responsible for setting up and operating shear machines to cut sheet metal with precision and consistency. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and confident in reading blueprints and using measuring tools to ensure high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
• Set up and operate shear machines to cut metal sheets according to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders for accurate material processing
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, protractors, and squares
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow safety procedures and quality standards at all times
• Assist with other shop tasks as needed to support production flow
• Set up and operate shear machines to cut metal sheets according to specifications

Qualifications
• 2–3 years of experience operating shear machines preferred
• Background in the sheet metal or fabrication industry strongly desired
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform accurate measurements
• Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs repeatedly and standing for long periods
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills
• Dependable and punctual with a flexible, can-do attitude
• Willingness to work overtime and adapt to different shop duties as needed
• 2–3 years of experience operating shear machines preferred
• Background in the sheet metal or fabrication industry strongly desired
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform accurate measurements
• Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs repeatedly and standing for long periods
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills
• Dependable and punctual with a flexible, can-do attitude

• Physically demanding role that requires frequent lifting, bending, and standing
• Must be able to lift or maneuver up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
