Industrial Maintenance Technician 
Status: Full Time
Work Type: In person

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and versatile Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the operations of one of the country’s leading manufacturers of high-precision rubber assemblies and molded components in Minneapolis, MN. This role is ideal for a technically skilled individual with a strong background in industrial equipment maintenance, particularly involving hydraulics, molding presses, and electrical systems. The technician will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency and minimizing downtime through both preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced maintenance and troubleshooting on industrial systems, including hydraulic circuits, air compressors, and injection or compression molding presses.
  • Execute electrical diagnostics and repairs on 3-phase industrial equipment, motors, panels, and controls.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, hydraulic drawings, and equipment manuals.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on molding machinery to ensure consistent product quality and avoid unscheduled downtime.
  • Inspect, calibrate, and maintain hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, and fluid systems.
  • Perform general facility maintenance tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, lighting, and HVAC support.
  • Use CMMS or manual logs to document maintenance activities and equipment status.
  • Collaborate with production teams to schedule repairs and adjustments with minimal disruption.
  • Maintain workplace cleanliness and safety standards in compliance with OSHA and company guidelines.
  • Follow and support the use of the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and adhere to safety protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience, including hydraulic systems and molding equipment.
  • Certificate from a technical trade school in maintenance, industrial technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, control circuits, sensors, and PLC diagnostics is a plus.
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain shop tools, lift equipment, and test devices.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office and digital maintenance systems.
  • Proven ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex equipment issues under pressure.
Working Conditions:
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
  • Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. several times per shift.
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing and industrial maintenance environment, often near moving mechanical parts.
