Description | Client is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician with outstanding attention to detail to work first shift. The ideal candidate will have a background in repairing manufacturing machinery. Over-time hours at generally available. |
Requirements | Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance tasks and answering trouble calls. Troubleshoot problems with the use of schematics and wiring diagrams on motor and heater circuits ranging from low voltage to 480v three phase. Remove and replace defective parts from equipment with the use of hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools. Communicate effectively with the shift supervisor to prioritize repairs. Make entries to the maintenance log explaining problems encountered, repairs and parts used or needed. Keep company tools put away and in working order. Fabricate repair parts, machine guarding, mezzanines, etc. Using shop equipment (welders, plasma cutter, torch, grinder, etc.) Good organizational skills with an ability to address multiple issues at once. Effective communication skills in both spoken and written formats. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations and to other employees of the company. Must be able to understand safety rules, SOP’s, work instructions. |
Physical Requirements | Able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. several times per shift Able to stand/walk for >80% of their shift. Able to bend/crouch for >20% of their shift |
