About Our Client:
Our client is a precision metal stamping manufacturer serving industries such as aerospace, medical, electronics, government, and telecommunications. They are known for delivering tight-tolerance components and maintaining rigorous quality standards. Their culture emphasizes accountability, continuous improvement, safety, and long-term employee growth within a stable and well-organized manufacturing environment.

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Quality Inspector with a background working directly within a Quality Department. This is not a production-level operator role performing basic part checks. Instead, this position focuses on formal inspection processes, detailed reporting, and quality documentation.
The primary responsibilities include performing in-process and final inspections, completing First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, maintaining detailed documentation, and supporting overall quality compliance efforts. While inspections may take place on the production floor, the role is largely documentation-driven and office-based, requiring strong reporting, organization, and analytical skills.
This position plays a key role in maintaining product integrity, supporting customer requirements, and ensuring compliance with internal and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform detailed in-process and final inspections using precision measurement equipment
 • Complete First Article Inspection (FAI) reports and other required quality documentation
 • Generate and maintain inspection reports, records, and supporting documentation
 • Review blueprints and interpret GD&T symbols and tolerance requirements
 • Identify nonconforming parts and document findings accurately
 • Communicate quality concerns and findings to production and leadership teams
 • Maintain organized quality files and ensure documentation accuracy
 • Support audits and compliance requirements as needed
 • Ensure inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained
 • Follow all quality procedures, documentation standards, and safety guidelines

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required
 • 4+ years of experience working within a Quality Department in a manufacturing environment
 • Strong experience performing formal inspections (final and in-process)
 • Experience completing First Article Inspections (FAIs) and quality reports
 • Proficiency using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and vision systems
 • Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T
 • Excellent documentation and organizational skills
 • Comfortable working in a primarily office-based quality role
 • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
 • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Working Conditions:
This position operates within both a quality office setting and a manufacturing floor environment. The majority of the role involves documentation, reporting, and review of inspection results. Occasional time on the production floor is required to perform inspections. The role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple quality tasks simultaneously.
