Pay: $22.00–$26.60 per hour (DOE)
Shift: Monday–Friday | 40 hours per week (during summer/breaks)
Location: Maple Grove, MN
Job Summary
We are seeking an IT Support Analyst (Helpdesk) Intern to provide hands-on technical support to employees across the organization. This role will assist with the hardware refresh process, install and configure software, set up new user PCs, maintain checkout equipment, and respond to employee calls and emails. The position offers an excellent opportunity to build professional IT skills while contributing to critical support operations in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide desktop PC support, including installation, maintenance, and administration of hardware and software. • Respond to user questions regarding applications, hardware, and operating systems, escalating issues when necessary. • Partner with IT staff to support daily tasks, software/hardware upgrades, and new user set up. • Coordinate small IT projects of limited scope and complexity; participate in larger IT projects as needed. • Assist with imaging and swapping computers during the summer equipment refresh. • Maintain documentation and follow service ticket procedures to ensure accurate and timely resolution.
Requirements
• Must be enrolled in a computer science, information systems, or related program at an accredited institution. • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, desktop operating systems, PCs, and peripherals preferred. • General knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software applications.
• Knowledge of basic computer networking principles and designs. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and escalate issues when needed. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users. • Analytical, interpretive, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Internship Duration
Full-Time: 40 hours/week during summer and academic breaks. • Part-Time: 10+ hours/week during the academic year. • Continuation in the program is based on performance and business needs. • Hybrid eligibility may be granted at the discretion of management after successful onboarding.
