Job Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer Co-op Intern to provide practical engineering support for plant systems and operational projects. In this role, you will assist with equipment evaluations, technical analyses, and project design activities that promote safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance. This position offers an excellent opportunity for mechanical engineering students to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world setting while contributing to the success of critical power generation operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide engineering assistance on new and existing plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Conduct calculations, tests, and routine engineering procedures.
• Assist with technical assessments and document equipment conditions and measurements.
• Research equipment failures and recommend changes to maintenance or operational procedures for improved performance.
• Prepare plans, surveys, and research to address operating problems and optimize system performance.
• Support engineering services in the completion of capital and maintenance projects.
• Monitor project expenditures, establish and maintain schedules, and develop project specifications.

Requirements
• Must be enrolled in a mechanical engineering program at an accredited institution.
• Knowledge of basic engineering principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, SharePoint).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain a business-focused mindset.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of basic engineering principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, SharePoint).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain a business-focused mindset.

Internship Duration
