Job Summary:
The Inventory Specialist will ensure accurate and efficient management of warehouse inventory by performing administrative and system-based functions related to receiving, counting, and distributing materials. This is a primarily computer-based role requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with warehouse management systems. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, dependable, and capable of problem-solving in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Receive inventory via paperwork and desktop-based systems, ensuring accuracy in records.
• Perform inventory counts, moves, and order fills using barcode equipment and computers.
• Monitor and maintain system interfaces, correcting errors during receiving, picking, and shipping processes.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams to resolve inbound and outbound discrepancies.
• Use web-based platforms to complete transactions and generate cycle count lists.
• Enter and update findings from cycle counts, investigating and documenting discrepancies.
• Audit warehouse locations to verify proper item placement and correct errors physically or systematically.
• Generate and maintain reports tracking warehouse efficiency and progress throughout the year.
• Maintain 5S workspace organization methodology for a clean and efficient environment.
• Provide courteous and professional service to coworkers, visitors, and customers.
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in inventory control, logistics, or warehouse administration preferred.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and basic Excel required.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Team-oriented, dependable, and committed to maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Working Conditions:
This position operates primarily in an office environment within a warehouse setting. Work involves frequent computer use for data entry, communication, and inventory management. Occasional movement within the warehouse may be required to verify inventory. The environment is professional, fast-paced, and team-driven, with a focus on accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
