We are seeking a skilled and experienced Irrigation Foreman to lead our irrigation team in planning, installing, and maintaining irrigation systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agricultural or landscaping irrigation, exceptional leadership skills, and a keen understanding of water management. The Irrigation Foreman will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day activities of the irrigation crew, ensuring the proper functioning of irrigation systems, and implementing efficient irrigation practices.
Team Leadership:
  1. Lead and supervise a team of irrigation technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.
  2. Coordinate daily tasks, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting project timelines.
  3. Foster a positive and safety-conscious work environment.
Project Planning and Execution:
  1. Collaborate with project managers to plan and schedule irrigation installations and maintenance activities.
  2. Oversee the installation, testing, and repair of irrigation systems.
  3. Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Irrigation System Maintenance:
  1. Conduct routine inspections of irrigation systems to identify and address issues promptly.
  2. Perform repairs and replacements of damaged or malfunctioning components.
  3. Implement preventative maintenance strategies to prolong the life of irrigation systems.
Water Management:
  1. Monitor and manage water usage to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
  2. Adjust irrigation schedules based on weather conditions and seasonal requirements.
  3. Stay informed about advancements in irrigation technology and best practices.
Documentation and Reporting:
  1. Maintain accurate records of irrigation system components, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  2. Generate regular reports on project progress, resource utilization, and system performance.
  1. Able to hold a Class A License 
  2. Proven experience in irrigation system installation, maintenance, and repair.
  3. Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  4. In-depth knowledge of irrigation system components, including pumps, controllers, and pipes.
  5. Proficiency in reading and interpreting irrigation plans and blueprints.
  6. Familiarity with various irrigation methods and technologies.
  7. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
  8. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  9. Ability to collaborate with other departments and communicate with clients.
Physical Requirements
  1. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  2. Lift and carry heavy equipment and materials as needed up to 100lbs.
