The intern will assist experienced mechanics and technicians with inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment essential to plant operations. You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of mechanical systems — from pumps and gearboxes to conveyors and boilers — while learning the fundamentals of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance practices that support plant reliability and operational safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Document maintenance work using CMMS and update plant drawings, including P&IDs.
• Adhere to all safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in all work areas.

Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in a mechanical maintenance, welding, pipefitting, or related technical program at an accredited institution.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Basic troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and follow safety protocols.
• Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and in a team setting.

Working Conditions:
• Work performed both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in extreme temperatures.
• Exposure to industrial environments including noise, dust, fumes, and moving equipment.
• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting (20–50 lbs).
• Occasional confined space work may be required.
• Must wear and maintain appropriate PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, etc.).

Internship Duration:
This internship will run full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer of 2026.
