Job Description

Job Title:Medical Assembly
Job Type:Temp to Hire
Location:Plymouth
Shift/Hours:1st Shift 5:00am - 2:30pm  Monday-Thursday  and 5:00am to 9:00am Friday  
Career Level:1 yr + preferred
Education:High School Degree
Salary:$18-$21/hr


Description:
  1. Places parts in specified relationship to each other
  2. Tends machines to perform force fitting, aligning or fastening operations. Considerable adjusting, fitting and aligning to very close tolerances and strict inspection standards
  3. Includes microscopic assembly
  4. Works at different work stations as production needs require
  5. May test or inspect assembled units
  6. Complete assembly of intricate units composed of a large number of component parts, or of sub-assembly to larger complicated units.
Requirements:
  1. High School diploma, 6 to 24 months of complex assembly experience, ability to understand processes, prints and good manufacturing practices (GMP)
  2. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  3. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  4. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
  5. Ability to assemble using microscopes
Physical Requirements:
  1.  Use hands to finger, handle, or feel
  2. Frequently required to stand and sit
  3. Occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms
  4. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
  5. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
