Job Summary:
The Assembler I is responsible for fabricating component parts to customer specifications through tasks such as cutting raw materials, mechanically assembling components, and finishing products. This entry-level role works under immediate supervision and follows specific directions and instructions to meet production and quality standards.
The Assembler I is responsible for fabricating component parts to customer specifications through tasks such as cutting raw materials, mechanically assembling components, and finishing products. This entry-level role works under immediate supervision and follows specific directions and instructions to meet production and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use and read a tape measure accurately to the 1/32".
- Read blueprint drawings and set up jigs according to specifications.
- Identify and gather appropriate raw materials and supplies for assembly.
- Fit and assemble parts using hand tools and jigs in line with quality standards.
- Package, stack, and label finished products.
- Ensure the work area is clean, safe, and organized; complete pre-shift equipment inspections.
- Maintain production records and inspect materials/products for quality compliance.
- Wear proper PPE and follow safety protocols.
- Participate in safety and continuous improvement programs.
- Maintain professional and respectful conduct; demonstrate punctuality and commitment.
- Support other departments and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of blueprints and hand/power tools.
- Ability to stand for an entire shift and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to safety and quality.
- Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a drug test.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal English instructions.
- Must be able to work the schedule set by management.
Working Conditions:
This position requires standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), bending, reaching, and repetitive hand motions for the majority of the shift in a manufacturing environment. Use of PPE and adherence to safety practices is mandatory.
