Job Summary:
The Metal Decking Assembly role supports manufacturing operations through hands-on assembly of aluminum decking components. This position requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to follow written instructions and specifications accurately. The ideal candidate is dependable, motivated, and comfortable working with tools in a production environment while learning multiple product variations to ensure high-quality finished assemblies.
The Metal Decking Assembly role supports manufacturing operations through hands-on assembly of aluminum decking components. This position requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to follow written instructions and specifications accurately. The ideal candidate is dependable, motivated, and comfortable working with tools in a production environment while learning multiple product variations to ensure high-quality finished assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble metal decking components according to work instructions and specifications
• Operate hand and power tools requiring physical strength and precision
• Follow written instructions to complete assigned assembly tasks accurately
• Learn and adapt to multiple product variations and assembly methods
• Inspect assembled components to ensure quality and accuracy
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
• Take direction from supervisors and team leads
• Assist with additional production duties as assigned
• Assemble metal decking components according to work instructions and specifications
• Operate hand and power tools requiring physical strength and precision
• Follow written instructions to complete assigned assembly tasks accurately
• Learn and adapt to multiple product variations and assembly methods
• Inspect assembled components to ensure quality and accuracy
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
• Take direction from supervisors and team leads
• Assist with additional production duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs
• Ability to stand and bend for a full 8-hour shift
• Experience using basic manufacturing power tools such as impact drills, hand drills, angle grinders, miter saws, and palm sanders
• Ability to read tape measures accurately
• Basic math skills, including fractions
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
• Steel toe boots required
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs
