Job Description
Job Title: Bar Saw Operator
Status: Full Time
Work Type: In person
Shift: 2nd Shift 2pm-10:30pm
Pay: $21-$22/hr
Job Summary:
The Bar Saw Operator plays a key role in plant operations by ensuring efficient, accurate, and safe order fulfillment. This position involves cutting aluminum plate orders to specification, maintaining inventory accuracy, and preparing materials for shipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify correct inventory and calculate plate quantities needed per job
- Operate saws to cut materials according to job specifications
- Finalize job tickets in the ERP system
- Restock drops and securely package cut materials for safe shipment
- Organize completed jobs by driver route to support efficient truck loading
- Contribute to inventory location optimization and cycle counts
- Load/unload incoming and outgoing materials as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, keeping floors free of debris
- Perform other duties as assigned by the shift supervisor
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong math skills with ability to read tape measures and micrometers
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Prior plant or warehouse experience preferred
- Must be able to work overtime as required
Working Conditions:
Work performed in a warehouse/plant environment
Frequent standing, lifting, and material handling
