Job Type: Temp to Hire
Location: St. Michael, MN
Shift/Hours: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Possible Overtime
Salary: $19 – $25 per hour
 
Position Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled Mig/Tig Welder to join their fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience welding stainless steel, light-gauge stainless, aluminum, and sheet metal with tight tolerances. This role is with a respected, family-owned business known for treating employees fairly and fostering a collaborative, hardworking culture. Their manufacturing and fabrication shop is a state-of-the-art, air-conditioned facility, considered one of the nicest in the metro area. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform precision welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and sheet metal materials
  • Follow detailed job processes and work instructions to fabricate industry-specific fixtures
  • Maintain high quality standards and craftsmanship
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project completion and workflow efficiency
  • Assist in cross-training or other general production tasks as needed
Requirements
  • 3 to 5 years of recent Tig welding experience (recent welding school graduates may also be considered)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to follow instructions, read blueprints, and meet production standards
  • Positive attitude, good attendance, and strong work ethic
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Capable of standing, bending, and performing physical tasks throughout the shift
