Job Summary:
The Milling Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently supporting production operations by setting up and running milling machines. This role is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. On-the-job training is available for candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to grow within the organization.
The Milling Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently supporting production operations by setting up and running milling machines. This role is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. On-the-job training is available for candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to grow within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload fixtures on CNC milling machines
- Perform tumbling and packaging of finished parts
- Conduct in-process quality checks and inspections using appropriate measuring equipment
- Utilize machinery and tools according to established standards and procedures
- Maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Accurately record productivity and production data
- Follow all safety protocols and workplace guidelines
Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow standards, protocols, and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to cooperate and work effectively with coworkers and staff
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work overtime on Fridays as needed
- Basic English communication skills required
- Experience reading blueprints and using micrometers and calipers is beneficial but not required
Working Conditions:
- Second shift schedule: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM
- Overtime on Fridays as needed
- Ability to stand or sit for up to 10 hours per day
- Frequent bending, pushing, twisting, and carrying depending on daily tasks
- Ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
