Job Title:Machine Operator (Molding)
Job Type:Temp to Hire
Location:Plymouth
Shift/Hours:3rd 10:50pm - 7:00am
Career Level:1 year + machine operator experience
Education:High school degree or equal
Salary:3rd shift $19.00


Description:
  1. Set-up, operate and troubleshoot equipment to produce thermoformed parts to specification.
  2. Ensure maximum efficiency of set-up to include set-up time, materials, production rate and material consumption.
  3. Machine readiness – inspect machinery, equipment and tooling prior to set-up.
  4. Identify issues, which adversely affect product requirements and communicate with appropriate department personnel for resolution.
  5. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machine.
     Identify nonconforming materials/products and work with shift leader for resolution.
  6. Ensure part quality meets established standards.Complete all shift documentation/paperwork.
    Shift hand-off: go over job status and updates with incoming shift
Requirements:
  1. One (1) year manufacturing or related experience
  2. Mechanical aptitude
  3. Ability to read, write and speak English to meet training, safety and quality requirements 
  4. Ability to solve basic math problems
  5. Organization and time management
  6. Computer and software skills
  7. Knowledge of quality control principles and Statistical Process Control
Physical Requirements:
  1.  Light work (lift 10 lbs): continuously – cases of product and hand tools
  2.  Medium Work (lift 11-30 lbs.) regularly – cases of product and pallets (3-4 times per shift).
  3.  Heavy Work (lift 31-50 lbs.) occasionally – (one to two times per shift): cases of product and pallets
  4.  Other Physical Requirements: Bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, twisting, standing for long periods of time
