| Description: | The purpose of this job is to safely clean and prepare materials prior to paint application, apply primer paint and top coat (finish coat) to components and machinery to obtain a high quality finish consistent with company standards. Essential Functions:

| Requirements: | 1. Two years of experience in heavy equipment paint processing, a paint related certificate, or certified trade school/technical degree in paint related field 2. Experience in top coat, prime coat, and electrostatic paint 3. Knowledge of blueprints/engineering drawings **Required Personal Protective Equipment provided: hearing protection, safety glasses, metatarsal foot gear, and protective paint clothing and equipment including respirator, painter hood, painter Tyvek suit, rain coat, rain bibs, rubber boots, rubber gloves, full face shield with hood.** |
| Physical Requirements: | 1. Exposure to paint fumes, catalyst fumes, isopropanol fumes and wash fumes 2. Exposure to wash, paint application and clean up chemicals 3. Noise levels of 85db or greater 4. Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes and hoists 5. Lift up to 35lbs frequently 6. Work at multiple heights 7. Climb on equipment, machines, ladders, man lifts and various step stools 8. Stand for a minimum of 8 hour shifts with minimal breaks 9. Work in environment with frequently changing temperatures 10. Exposure to magnets that may impact medical devices 11. Kneel, squat, and crawl on knees 12. Work in tight spaces and awkward positions, including forward reach, lateral reach, squat, overhead reaching, twisting and forward head and rotation of neck. 13. Repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling rotating 14. Use of fine motor skills 15. Use of paint and wash tools including cup paint gun, sanders and buffers etc. 16. Operate material handling equipment (e.g. counterbalance and tug) 17. Operate paving products equipment (e.g. compactors, rotary mixers, and pavers) #ind2 |
