We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, particularly within the real estate sector, and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles.

Description
  • Maintain and update financial records using AppFolio software.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage general ledger entries.
  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Monitor and report on financial discrepancies and variances.
  • Collaborate with property managers and other team members to ensure accurate financial data.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including GAAP.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Provide support during audits and tax preparation.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 2+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the real estate industry.
  • Experience in AppFolio software is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Working IN office only
