Description | 1. Fabricate prototype parts to print (welding, machining, sheet metal, etc.) 2. Assemble prototype machines 3. Test prototype machines based on engineering test procedures, troubleshoot issues with the machine 4. Teach assemblers how to assemble new production machines and verify they are assembled correctly 5. Design (w/engineer assistance) and fabricate fixtures for assembly and welding 6. Collaborate with designers and engineering team |
Requirements | 1. Basic understanding/experience of hydraulic systems 2. Welding ability (MIG welding of mild steel) 3. Machining ability (Engine Lathe, Bridgeport Mill, Bandsaw, Drill Press etc.) 4. Simple 12 Volt electrical systems knowledge/experience 5. Blueprint reading and basic design instincts 6. Troubleshooting/problem solving issues on equipment 7. Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) 8. Ability to train, answer questions and communicate with a wide range of employees (engineer, drafter, assemblers, supervisors etc.) 9. Prior fixture building 10. Previously worked on a team with draftsman, sales & marketing, engineering etc. and has taken direction regarding product development. 11. Ability to use/learn computer programs (Excel, Word, Solidworks) 12. Creative thinking/can come up with new designs/design improvements on equipment 13. Forklift experience 14. Experience in working on or operating outdoor power equipment (turf, agriculture, construction, or similar equipment) |
