Job Summary:
Our client is a family-owned machine parts manufacturer based in Blaine and is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to support ongoing industrial growth. This role is critical to ensuring smooth operations by managing purchasing, inventory planning, and supply expediting. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with strong communication and analytical skills, dedicated to supporting production through effective material planning and coordination.

This role is critical to ensuring smooth operations by managing purchasing, inventory planning, and supply expediting. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with strong communication and analytical skills, dedicated to supporting production through effective material planning and coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and change notices.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials, tooling, and components.
- Perform inventory reconciliation and update system pricing for distribution parts.
- Collaborate with vendors to expedite raw materials and external services.
- Manage material transfers and confirm issuing of piece parts.
- Generate and distribute production planning and shortage reports.
- Analyze market and delivery trends to assess material availability and pricing.
- Perform material requirements planning (MRP) in ERP (Visual) system.
- Review and resolve overstock and obsolete material issues.
- Partner with departments to resolve customer and invoice-related issues.
- Maintain documentation of purchasing procedures and system updates.
- Support and complete special projects as directed by management.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in purchasing, inventory, or supply chain coordination preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel); ERP experience a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow standard protocols with minimal supervision.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Team-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Availability to work overtime on Fridays as needed.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to sit or stand for up to 10 hours per day.
- Occasional carrying, bending, twisting, and pushing depending on daily tasks.
- On-site role in an industrial manufacturing setting.
