Job Title:Quality Tech / Inspector
Job Type:Temp to HIre
Location:Blaine
Shift/Hours:1st shift  M-Th: 6:00am – 4:30pm; OT on Fridays
Career Level:1 year+
Education:2-year technical degree program or equivalent experience preferred
Salary:$23+ DOQ


Description:
  1. Performs incoming/set-up/in-process/final inspection of machined parts per inspection plan requirements.
  2. Provide support to Change Management and MRB programs as needed.
  3. Performs FAI (First Article Inspection) on initial production of new parts per the applicable customer
  4. Assembles all necessary inspection documents to accompany shipments.
  5. Identifies and segregates discrepant parts, and notifies the Material Review Board of discrepant parts
  6. Archives inspection records in the appropriate storage locations (both electronic and hard copy).
  7. Identify improvements to processes to enhance quality, reduce cost, and increase productivity.
  8. Set up and complete CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) inspections. Strong exp with CMM 
  9. Select and use the appropriate handheld gage to perform inspection of certain part features.
  10. Maintain part and lot traceability information throughout the inspection process.

Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Able to use vast array of hand measuring tools.
  3. Demonstrated ability to use basic shop math, including percentages, proportions, calculated tolerance range, calculated dimensions, basic conversions, and measures of angularity (degrees, minutes, seconds, radians, grads, etc).
  4. Ability to read and interpret procedures, work instructions, safety instructions, operating manuals, maintenance instructions, and other documents required to perform daily tasks.
  5. Preferred (Optional) Qualifications:
  6. Completion of a relevant 2-year technical degree program or equivalent experience. - Preferred
  7. Applied GD&T and mechanical print reading skills. - Preferred
  8. Familiarity with designing, performing, and interpreting the results of GR&R (Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility) studies. -Preferred 
  9. Experience in an AS9102, TS16949, ISO9001, or ISO13485 certified manufacturing facility. - Preferred
  10. Familiarity with process capability calculations and SPC (Statistical Process Control) charts. - Preferred
  11. One or more relevant certifications awarded by a professional organization. (• Certified Quality Inspector• Certified Quality Technician• Certified Calibration Technician• Lean Certification)

Physical Requirements:
  1. Able to sit and stand for long periods of time
  2. Able to use all components of a computer throughout the day
  3. Must have good eyesight either natural or corrected
