Company Info
Our client is a close tolerance extrusion house utilizing state-of-the-art equipment to produce polyester roll stock for the thermoforming and laminating industries. This equipment, combined with a team that has more than 35 years of experience in the extrusion industry, results in a product that meets all our customers critical requirements. 
Description
•                  Overseeing daily inspections of retains
•                  Developing a strategy for the storage of retained materials
•                  Direct involvement with Production for all quality related issues
•                  Develop/Implement Quality Metrics for training staff and team
•                  Manage/implement roll returns of out-of-spec material and inhouse rejections
•                  Communicate with customers regarding returns/specs/annual compliance
•                  Internal and External Audits
•                  Developing a strategy for the storage of retained materials
•                  Design, Develop, Implement and Improve Food Safety, Guidelines and Training
•                  Oversee monthly safety training meetings and safety committee
•                  Relay SQF concerns and KPI’s to CEO and Company President
•                  Identify, develop, and implement opportunities for process improvement
•                  Uphold company values and maintain high level moral and ethical values
•                  All other duties as assigned by CEO
Requirements
  1. Effectively communicate written and verbally with the team
  2. Effectively manage the quality department’s 2 or 3 team members
  3. SQF Practitioner Certification or ability to obtain Certification
  4. Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing Certification is preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
  1. Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. several times a day
  2. Able to sit/stand/walk for 90% of the day
