Job Summary:
The Shop Helper supports daily production and warehouse operations through hands-on assembly and material handling tasks. This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable, and comfortable working with tools and measurements. The position plays an important role in keeping operations running smoothly by assisting with door assembly, staging materials, and supporting inventory accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble wood and steel doors using hand and power tools such as saws, routers, and nail guns
• Prepare, stage, and organize materials for production processes
• Follow quality standards and report any product discrepancies to leadership
• Pull and stage customer orders according to pick tickets
• Perform inventory put-away and assist with cycle counts
• Verify order accuracy and communicate inconsistencies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Assist with additional shop or warehouse duties as assigned

• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Basic math skills including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
• Ability to follow written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions
• Previous shop, warehouse, or production experience preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new tasks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Working Conditions:
This position operates in a production and warehouse environment. The role requires standing and moving throughout the shift, lifting up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 60 lbs occasionally, and working around noise, dust, vibration, and fluctuating temperatures. The environment is fast-paced and team-oriented, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
