Primary Purpose
The Sales Representative is responsible for driving business growth through proactive sales efforts, building strong relationships with customers, and ensuring client satisfaction. This role requires a highly motivated, growth minded, and resilient individual who embodies integrity, thrives on challenges, and is committed to delivering exceptional results.
Travel
Daily travel within the Twin Cities area. A valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a good driving record and working vehicle are required. Occasional travel to out of state conferences and networking events.
ScheduleMonday – Friday, some evenings and weekends as needed.
Description
 Business Development
  1. Identify and engage potential clients in Vision’s territory through market research, networking, and prospecting to expand the customer base with new clients.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to secure repeat business and referrals.
  3. Proactively network and generate leads through referrals, events, and community involvement.
  4. Develop customized strategies for acquiring new business and ensuring “First Call/First Order” success, such as tailoring service presentations to client-specific needs, identifying key decision-makers, and leveraging case studies or success stories to build trust.
  5. Conduct site visits and safety tours, introducing key team members (Account Managers, Managers) to customers.
  6. Stay informed on market trends, employment law, and customer feedback to provide value-added insights.
 Account Management
  1. Ensure seamless communication between clients, recruiters, account managers, and HR teams to meet customer needs.
  2. Resolve customer complaints promptly, escalating issues to appropriate team members when necessary.
  3. Regularly update clients on changes, including service updates, quarterly usage reports, and rate adjustments.
  4. Accurately document all customer interactions, orders, and plans in the company database.
  5. Maintain up-to-date records, including client forms, terms and conditions, and account information.
  6. Sales Reporting & Financial Accountability.
  7. Provide weekly sales updates, weekly progress reports, and monthly sales plans to management.
  8. Monitor invoice aging reports and ensure timely collections through weekly follow-ups.
 Brand Support 
  1. Contribute to the development of new marketing initiatives and monitor competitor strategies.
  2. Participate actively in weekly sales meetings, sharing insights on market trends, client feedback, sales progress, and strategies for overcoming challenges.
  3. Represent Vision at educational programs, chamber events, and recruiting functions, both during and after business hours.
  4. Support office operations as needed, including interviewing candidates and answering phones.
  5. Take on additional tasks as assigned, such as participating in chamber of commerce, BNI or recruiting events.
 Performance Expectations
  1. Meet or exceed activity and gross margin (GM) metrics monthly, including achieving set targets for client outreach, new accounts, and revenue growth while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
  2. Provide high-quality/sector appropriate job orders.
  3. Ensure financial stability by consistently addressing and eliminating aged receivables.
 Revenue Growth Requirements:
  1. Year 1: $178K GM ($1M Revenue)
  2. Year 2: $356K GM ($2M Revenue)
  3. Year 3: $534K GM ($3M Revenue)
  4. Year 4: $712K GM ($4M Revenue)

Work Environment
  1. Dynamic office setting with potential distractions from co-workers and phone conversations.
  2. Daily visits to customer sites, including industrial facilities, which may require climbing stairs or navigating challenging environments.
  3. Primarily out office for in person networking opportunities and engagement with current and potential clients.
  4. Ability to drive to client locations and tour facilities as needed.
  5. Daily driving to identify and meet prospects.
  6. Must have visual and auditory acuity to read, interpret documents, and communicate effectively.
