Job Summary:
The Swiss Setup Operator / Programmer is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating Swiss-style CNC machines to produce precision components that meet strict quality and industry standards. This role is ideal for an experienced machinist with strong technical knowledge who takes pride in precision work and process optimization. The position supports high-mix, close-tolerance production and plays a key role in maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and product quality.

Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate Swiss-style CNC machines to produce precision parts
• Program and edit CNC programs to meet part specifications and production requirements
• Work with Swiss machines such as Star, Tsugami, or Citizen
• Utilize CAM software such as PartMaker or Gibbs (preferred)
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy
• Monitor machining processes and make adjustments as needed
• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues to maintain production efficiency
• Maintain machine performance, cleanliness, and safe operation
• Document production data and follow all quality and safety procedures

Working Conditions:
This position operates in a clean, organized, and climate-controlled manufacturing environment. The role requires standing for extended periods and performing hands-on machining and setup tasks.
