Description: | Great River Energy (GRE) is seeking a highly motivated Intern interested in environmental permitting, land rights and/or Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to assist with general environmental permitting and land rights document support. We offer a hybrid work schedule which combines reporting to our headquarters in Maple Grove Mn with working remote. This opportunity will provide a hands-on learning opportunity working with environmental and land rights documentation within our current GIS platform. The primary job duties for this opportunity consist of working with our existing environmental and land records and incorporating or replacing the records within our GIS platform. Job Responsibilities: • Review existing environmental licenses and confirm incorporation into GIS • Maintaining and editing existing GIS data records • Completing applications for environmental permits • Creating GIS exhibits to support the submission of environmental permits • Assisting in the closeout of completed projects and entering the documents into GIS and SharePoint • Assisting department staff with project documentation and file creation | |
Requirements: | Must be enrolled in college or technical school program for Environmental Studies, Real Estate/Land Use, Geography or GIS.

Physical Requirements: | Much of the work will be in a normal office/hybrid environment. Office work involves working at a computer station for extended periods of time. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. We provide competitive internship pay. Duration of the internship will be PT during the school year and FT during Fall/Winter/Spring Breaks #GRE | |
