Job Summary:
The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for leading all warehouse functions, ensuring safety, efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement within a newly established facility. This hands-on leadership role will structure and develop the warehouse department, implement scalable processes, and collaborate closely with supply chain and logistics partners to support seamless end-to-end operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong change-management experience, data-driven decision making, and an ability to build alignment across the leadership team while driving performance, accuracy, and operational stability.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure the safety of all warehouse employees, contractors, carriers, and visitors
  2. Maintain audit-ready records for materials and product movements
  3. Conduct internal audits across food safety, safety, traceability, and inventory accuracy
  4. Implement corrective actions with clear ownership and timelines
  5. Uphold data integrity and access controls to support audit outcomes
  6. Supervise and develop the warehouse operations team, including performance management and training
  7. Oversee logistics, inventory management, and order fulfillment processes
  8. Ensure operational compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess, onboard, and manage warehouse partners
  10. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and carriers to resolve issues quickly
  11. Prepare and analyze key warehouse and logistics metrics for continuous improvement
  12. Develop and implement warehouse systems, SOPs, and policies
  13. Support internal and external audits and inspections
  14. Resolve escalated issues from internal teams or external partners
  15. Maintain accurate records of inbound/outbound shipments, damages, and product conversions
  16. Implement and manage lot traceability best practices
  17. Align warehouse operations to business needs through collaboration with procurement, sales, supply chain, and logistics teams
Qualifications:
  1. Proven experience in warehouse leadership or similar operations role
  2. Strong understanding of logistics, inventory management, and warehouse workflows
  3. Education in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
  4. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  5. Strong change-management abilities
  6. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and solve problems effectively
  7. Proficiency with ERP, WMS, and Microsoft Office Suite
  8. Knowledge of FDA and FSVP regulations preferred
  9. OSHA 10, Kaizen, Lean, or 5S experience preferred
  10. Ability to operate a forklift and aerial lift 
Working Conditions:
  1. Exposure to hot, cold, noisy, or dusty environments
  2. Standing or sitting for extended periods
  3. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
  4. Ability to operate machinery, vehicles, and power tools
  5. Requires hand, eye, and foot coordination
