Description
Our client is seeking a skilled Tanker Welder to join our team. The Tanker Welder will be responsible for the welding and fabrication of industrial tanks, ensuring they meet industry standards for quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in both MIG and TIG welding techniques, as well as the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.  This position do not entail welding inside confined spaces (inside tanks).
Requirements
Candidate must demonstrate to complete the following tasks:
  1. Weld in all physical positions
  2. Weld Tig with thumb control (80% of welding is TIG)
  3. Weld with Mig (Wire Feed) (20% of welding is MIG)
  4. Weld Aluminum and Stainless Steel from 1/8th inch up to 3/8th and ½ inch
  5. Must have basic tools; have tool and boot program available
  6. Mechanical knowledge and ability 
  7. Tanker Experience a plus:
    1. ABS brake systems
    2. Disc brake systems
    3. Pneumatic and Hydraulic vent systems
    4. Internal Valves (Top Hat, Quick Clean, Disc, Air and Mechanical
    5. Manifold systems
    6. API heads and QRB valves
    7. Suspensions (Air Ride and Spring Ride)
    8. Electrical and Wiring
    9. Pneumatic sir systems
    10. Wheel ends
    11. Steel Toed Boots & Welding Helmet required
Physical Requirements
•  Ability to lift 40+ lbs.
